Oaken Staff (Bows and Staffs)

Parent
No Parent.
Children
No Children.

Length: 100 inches
Weight: 1lb
Description: As a bo staff does not have any pointy bits on either end, it is significantly lighter than many polearm weapons and thus is easily used in many martial arts. This staff has a significant reach, almost as much as any other polearm - but it deals blunt force damage. You won’t be slashing and slicing your foes up, but the staff allows most to deliver a strong crushing blow (provided you have good form and aren’t just swinging a giant stick around - but swinging a giant stick around is certainly… a strategy.) It is often carried on hand into battle.

Oaken Shortbow (Bows and Staffs)

Parent
No Parent.
Children
No Children.

Length: 40 inches
Weight: 2 lbs with a draw weight of 60lbs
REQUIREMENT: Dexterity MUST BE at least 5.
Range: 500 feet (Trained Effective Maximum)
Description: The shortbow may have a shorter range than longer bows, but it is light and easy to use. It does not require a lot of space to nock an arrow and draw the bowstring back and its use allows for faster strikes and easier movement. Arrows can fly farther with a shorter bow, but they are less stable in their flight and archers are less likely to land a fatal blow from farther away.

Oaken Longbow (Bows and Staffs)

Parent

Children
No Children.

Length: 72 inches
Weight: 4 lbs with a draw weight of 110lbs
REQUIREMENTS: Strength MUST BE at least 6 and Dexterity MUST BE at least 4
Range: 660 feet (Trained Effective Maximum)
Description: The longbow is a lot larger than it’s shorter counterpart, and thus requires more space to draw its bowstring. It has a great advantage, however, in its effective range. As the larger bowstring allows an archer to draw more force, the range in which you could fatally strike something is larger than that of a shortbow. Arrows are able to fly more stable and hit with a more effective force despite a shorter travel distance.
